This route runs through the very heart of the island. In a setting surrounded by large fields of crops, providing a beautiful image of the rural Mallorca that still survives on our island. Some particularly relevant Mallorcan archaeological sites are found in this area, such as the pre-historic settlement of Son Fornés, the Sanctuary of Son Corró and the funeral cave of Camp del Bisbe, amongst others. Furthermore, in this beautiful setting there are a large number of small villages that date back to the Middle Ages and have conserved the traditional Mallorcan architecture where it seems like time has stood still. This is an excellent route in late winter and in spring when you can see almond blossom and fields covered by green blankets of grass, wheat and flowers. It is perfect for a journey through Mallorca by bicycle and in family.
